Went through the proof copy of Seeds of Blood checking for two main things: length of text on the page, and any place hyphenated words did not improve readability.
Length of text is a go. Seems that I’ve finally gotten the knack of using the Gridlines feature in Word to make sure pages come out with even lengths. Yay!
Hyphenation… found about 30 spots where it did not improve the readability of the text, the length of the paragraph, or page length. So those got booted out.
Also found one spot where I’d missed capitalizing part of someone’s nickname. Found, fixed, there.
Putting the proof down for tonight to look at again tomorrow, in case anything else jumps out at me. Because you never know.
But I think, with this run, once CreateSpace gets the LCCN taken care of, everything will be set. Then it’ll just be resubmit files for review, and bam. Still on track for about two weeks!
