Earring Tales: Amethyst Geode

What’s interesting is that in bags right next to each other, the beads of the two chevrons look almost identical.

They’re both slightly brassy purples; but massed together, the “amethyst/topaz” lined bead looks much more brassy.

Put together all these colors reminded me of breaking open a geode of amethyst, where some of the crystals are still mostly-clear quartz. 🙂
