Earring Tales: Dawnlight

Blue and sunlit.

I was trying for a specific impression of lightening sky and sun-shafts in the morning. ๐Ÿ™‚

Specifically, this one reminds me of clear, cold mornings. Which we’ve had a lot of down here recently. I kind of feel sorry for the tourists. They came for sand, surf, and sun; not “OMG I can see my breath stepping out the door”.

The high cirrus are very pretty, though. As long as you’re dressed in multiple layers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dawnlight earrings.

  1. Pretty . . . . so pretty . . .

Which weโ€™ve had a lot of down here recently.

    Tell me about it.

Central Florida has been quite nippy this winter.

Part of my brain is happy. It’s the part that grew up in places that were not-Florida and therefore thinks shorts and sandals in January is unnatural. The part that hates being cold isn’t so amused.

It’s tricky staying warm when most of your clothing was designed for no cooler than about 70 degrees with an occasional dip below that.

I kind of feel sorry for the tourists. They came for sand, surf, and sun; not โ€œOMG I can see my breath stepping out the doorโ€.

Yeah. They could gotten that at home WITHOUT airfare, hotels, and other travel expenses.

Of course, for many of them, home is even colder than Florida.
