I was aiming for “Captain Nemo finally gets his head on straight and takes a tropical vacation. Because Awesome.”
What do you think? Should I have gone with a brighter gold for sunlight for the base bugles, or does this work as steampunk style?

Oooo! They work very well! I think a brighter gold might clash with the aquamarine you’ve got there, even with the darker gradient separating them. With the lighter shades up top, it’s almost like a lagoon or something from a builder game. Very pretty!
