  1. Just finished Count Taka. It really wouldn’t be a story by you if we didn’t have Tropers in there, right? XD Love the book immensely. That final fight scene? Gratifyingly chaotic. So sad it’s over.
Definitely tell us when the next one becomes available, yeah? Any of them. Because, Kae’s words of “How are we gonna top this next year?” is just making me giggle!
Thank you so much for writing! These stories are such treasures!

  2. One thing I would have wished had happened differently in A Net of Dawn and Bones is for alchemists to deal their potions like modern day drug dealers, who had to stop using street corners even in bad neighborhoods due to the drug war. Now, they use sites like Silk Road and they don’t really tell you what you’re getting at a tremendous human cost. Of course, I am aware that the potion dealers were not shown, just mentioned on the back.

And I’d like to see the alchemical equivalent of carfentanil, which is so potent that it puts Spider’s Web to shame. Why not call it telamine?

  3. About Count Taka, who told you “wetland” had replaced “swamp”? Ecologists call swamps swamps all the time.

Was there really a time when “swamp” was unacceptable?

    1. Look up the current and past history of wetlands and water management, especially in relation to the EPA. I’m well aware ecologists still call a wetland with trees a swamp. However, when you get the lawyers involved, things get complicated.

      1. Where is your source? And thank you for telling me you knew that. And I can see lawyers being out of step with science. There was a lawyer who didn’t see why sticking a meat thermometer in hamburger wouldn’t work out.

  4. I ordered your books A Net of Dawn and Bones and Seeds of Blood. All the way to middle Europe. And I love them as I love most of your writing. I do not know if you plan on continuing thir story any time soon, but I would like to point out that the line in the vampire bar about their plans not working in USA, but possibly working elsewhere, like Europe, did touch a nerve with me. And chance we can get a shoutout to the fact that hellgate actually did not open in Europe for a long time? I’d love to bend your ear about some ideas of mine about why.

  5. Hi!
I’ve just finished binge-reading both A Net of Dawn and Bones and Seeds of Blood, and I love them so very, very much. Thank you for writing such wonderful stories, and for sharing them with us!
I was also wondering if you had any plan to write more in this universe, or if you had completely written the story you’d set out to tell with these two books? Either way, you have my most sincere admiration!

  6. I have been following your fanfic and published writing since I was yay-high to a sapling. Finally got to a place where I could buy all your books in physical form after owning the digital copies for a while. It was strange reading the physical copy to stories that I have read and reread over and over.

You are one of the best world builders I have ever read, and while I wish you had more sequels to your current work, I am just as excited to read whatever you create next!
